Mister Marley~Puppy Love!

A very affectionate, devoted Griffon is a perfect companion for the hunter who likes to walk and keep his/her dog close. Called the "4-wheel drive of hunting dogs" Using it's keen nose The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon will enter briars or underbrush without hesitation when flushing, whereby excelling as pointers in the field. Griffs also love to swim and make great retrievers, especially in swampy and overgrown areas where their thick, wiry coats offer protection. Their coarse double coat protects them in rough cover and gives them an unkempt, unruly appearance. Griffons are medium in size.
GRETA, LUCY & PIPER
Talents & Personality
The Griffon's easy train-ability, devotion to family, and friendly temperament endear him to all. He thrives on human companionship and prefers to be with his family, as a house dog. The breed's wiry coat will not develop fully until the dog is about 2-3 years old and is maintained with regular brushing and stripping. This sporting dog needs plenty of exercise to keep it physically and mentally fit. These joyful, protective dogs play well with children at home. They can also entertain themselves if need be, but be aware of the bored Griff because he will certainly find some way to get your attention!
These dogs thrive in the home environment and will perform and behave as well as they are expected and trained to. Griffons can be mellow in the home and devoted to their owners, but are highly intelligent and need consistent and knowledgeable owners willing to invest their much effort and time toward bringing the best out of their Griff.
